| 2nd International Workshop on Geotechnics in Soft Soil - 3rd-5th September

Wilde FEA and Plaxis BV are the sponsors of the 2nd International Workshop on Geotechnics of Soft Soils being held at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow 3rd-5th September 2008. The workshop will address some topical reviews of ground improvement and new developments in safe building in difficult conditions such as embankments, tunnels, deep excavations and foundations.
Numerical modelling using PLAXIS software features heavily in the workshop presentations and we look forward to having a good participation from the PLAXIS Users’ community. The EU is funding research to develop improved constitutive and numerical modelling to assist in geotechnical design in soft clays.
