Autodesk Moldflow Adviser software, part of the Autodesk solution for Digital Prototyping, provides easy-to-use tools that help you to simulate and optimize your part, mold, and tool designs long before manufacturing begins. By using a digital prototype to simulate the injection molding process, you can reduce the number of physical prototypes required to perfect a design and get your products to market faster.

By resolving and clearly communicating potential problems with the injection molding process, Autodesk Moldflow Adviser enables any designer or mold maker to confidently design plastic parts and injection molds.

Applications

Autodesk Moldflow Adviser simplifies plastics injection molding simulation, enabling you to optimize mold features, such as gates, runners, and cavity layouts. The product guides designers and mold makers through analysis setup and results interpretation, so you can see how changes to wall thickness, gate location, material, and geometry affect manufacturability.

Core features of Autodesk Moldflow Adviser include:

- Geometry support for thin-walled parts, as well as thick and solid applications
- Flow simulation that enables prediction and interpretation of plastics flow behavior through a mold
- Productivity tools, like customizable workspaces, a materials database, and a cost adviser

CAD Integration

Autodesk Moldflow can work directly from 3D solid CAD models without creating an analysis model, so you can analyze more design iterations and perform more in-depth analyses.

Complementary products enable native CAD model translation and analysis model optimization from Autodesk Inventor, Parasolid-based CAD systems, Pro/ENGINEER, and CATIA V5. A module is also available to correct, heal, and simplify solid models imported from 3D CAD systems in preparation for analysis using Moldflow Adviser.
