 | DEFORM Workshop
Monday 14 November 2005 - Swinden House, NAMTEC, Rotherham
Metals manufacturers face competitive pressures to reduce cost and lead time, while delivering increasingly complex parts. Traditional product development using trial and error is simply too inefficient to remain competitive. Recurring 'problem jobs' or elusive tool failures lead to frustration, delays and high cost. This is compounded by lean manufacturing, where companies operate with minimum staffing.
Workshop Objectives
Wilde FEA are holding the free technical workshop on Monday 14th of November. The event will hosted by NAMTEC at the recently refurbished Swindon House on Corus’ Swinden Technology Centre site in Rotherham. The aim of the workshop is demonstrate how simulation can help to reduce lead time and lower costs, improve die life, lower development costs, save engineering time and help clarify those elusive engineering problems. There will be the opportunity to find out how NAMTEC is expanding its activities to include the provision of research and development services in additional to their delivery of advanced skills and training.
This workshop will cover the following topics:
- metalforming fundamentals (the science) - process design and optimization (industrial case studies) - die failure analysis (theory and examples) - advanced applications (tomorrow's requirements) - the business case (no workshop is complete without one)
There will also be the opportunity to get hands-on with the software during the interactive DEFORM demonstrations. Whether you produce the smallest fastener or the largest forging, this workshop will demonstrate how your company can become more competitive.
Who will Benefit by Attending
Whether you are a Manufacturing Design Engineer, Tool & Die Designer, Technical Manager, Metallurgist or Research & Development Engineer, this workshop free workshop could help demonstrate how simulation can help to improve performance, productivity and profitability within you organisation.
