 | Reliability Engineering - Webinar 2: Managing Risk Using FME(C)A Including FEA & CFD Approaches
Wednesday 12 August 2009 - 14.00 - 15.00
Our Reliability Engineering webinar series has been designed to inform you of the latest techniques to improve the reliability and robustness of your products and processes.
These concise sessions will provide you with an overview of the many concepts and effective practices available in reliability engineering. They include the leading statistical reliability methods and software developed by the ReliaSoft Corporation, and the renowned finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation technology developed by ANSYS.
Each technique has its place and application within an engineering organisation and can be used together as a powerful addition to physical prototype testing and effective utilisation of in-service field data. The key strength is that ReliaSoft and ANSYS are the most comprehensive, flexible and widely used software solutions available today for Reliability and Multiphysics Engineering Simulation, suitable for all engineering industries.
As distributors, Wilde FEA has invested heavily in developing an in-house team of experienced engineers in these disciplines. Consequently, we can offer you integrated software, consulting and training solutions to make dramatic cost improvements to the performance and life of your products and processes, and also the maintenance of your manufacturing and service operations.
Four FREE Webinar Sessions
Our four FREE webinar sessions introduce key concepts to consider when you are looking to improve your engineering functions. All sessions are held on a Wednesday afternoon from 14.00 - 15.00, on the dates indicated below in brackets.
1: Introduction to Reliability Engineering (29th July) 2: Managing Risk Using FME(C)A Including FEA & CFD Approaches (12th August) 3: Optimising Designs Using DOE With Real & Virtual (FEA & CFD) Test Data (2nd September) 4: Accelerated Life Testing Using Statistical, FEA and CFD Methods (16th September)
Please click on the links above for more information. If a session is missed, upon registration you will be able to download a recording from a secure area on our website.
The webinar series concludes with an optional, but highly recommended, 3-day residential theory training course in Manchester, focusing on the entire set of statistical methods and tools that support Design for Reliability (DFR) initiatives from initial concept through to production.
Webinar 2: Managing Risk Using FME(C)A Including FEA & CFD Approaches
FME(C)A - Failure Mode Effects (Criticality) Analysis is a generic method used to identify potential failure modes and their criticality for any product or process. It can be used throughout the lifecycle of the product / process and is recognised as a valuable continuous improvement tool. The method is very effective for assessing risk, establishing the highest priority issues and identifying and implementing corrective measures in an objective and auditable way.
This FREE webinar will discuss how it can be combined with FEA & CFD simulation methods to make risk based decisions.
