Webinar 4: Accelerated Life Testing Using Statistical, FEA & CFD Methods
Accelerated Life Testing techniques uses test conditions and stresses that are more aggressive than those experienced under normal use - to provide long term reliability information on a product, component or system. It is an important approach for qualifying high reliability products as 'fit-for-purpose' and can provide reliability information in a very short time scale with limited sample sizes.
This webinar will discuss the general approach and how statistical methods can contribute to efficient testing. Furthermore, it will be shown how FEA & CFD engineering simulation can be utilised to run accelerated life tests 'virtually' as a complement or alternative to physical trials, depending on the development stage of the product or process.
