| University of Strathclyde Geotechnics MSc in Partnership With Industry - 01.09.2008
Wilde FEA is proud to be one of the industry sponsors of Strathclyde University who are running an MSc Geotechnics course commencing September 2008.
Headed by Dr Minna Karstunen this course is being run with leading companies from geotechnical industry and therefore is closely aligned with industry's needs. The industrial partners include major consultancies, specialist geotechnical contractors, as well as an international site investigation specialist.
The course acts as a geotechnical specialisation degree for civil engineering graduates, as well as a conversion degree for geology / physics / mathematics graduates who want to develop skills for a career in geotechnical engineering.
The innovative feature of the course is the integration of modern techniques for analysis, such as numerical modelling using PLAXIS, within the syllabus.
